Overview

This document explains how the Reesh app handles your data. In short: we don't collect personal information that identifies you (no name, email, or phone), and your shopping lists stay on your device. We do collect anonymous usage data to help us improve the app.

Information the app handles

• Camera: used only to scan barcodes and read prices from in-store price checkers. Images are processed on your device and are never sent to any server.
• Product photos: if you take a product photo, it is stored locally on your device only.
• Your shopping lists: the products, rounds, prices, and quantities you save stay locally on your device (in-app storage).
• No accounts: the app requires no sign-in, name, email, or phone number.

Usage data (analytics)

To improve the app and understand how it is used in general, we collect anonymous usage data — such as which products are scanned or added to the basket, and how often features are used. This data is tied to a random identifier, not to your name or identity (we don't collect your name, email, or phone anyway). We use it only to develop and improve your experience.

Third-party services

When you scan a barcode, the app may send that barcode number to the Open Food Facts database to fetch a product name and image (if available). No personal data is sent with it. See their privacy policy.

The app uses Expo for app updates; Expo may receive basic technical requests to check for updates.

What we do not do

• We show no ads.
• We do not sell your personal information or reveal your identity to anyone.

Deleting your data

You can delete any product or round from within the app at any time. Uninstalling the app permanently removes all locally stored data.

Business transfers

If the app is sold or merged with another company in the future, data may be transferred to the new owner, who will remain bound by this policy. We will update this page if the way data is used changes.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
